The New York Times has a really interesting article today about how AOL is enlisting well-known print writers for its content sites and the success they’re having. Check it out here!

Well, that didn’t take long. According to the Wall Street Journal, Vibe, which folded only six weeks ago, is being resurrected by private-equity firm InterMedia Partners and Uptown Media, publishers of Uptown magazine, as a Web-focused publication. READ THE REST HERE.

I know Datwon personally and credit him with being one of my earliest supporters when I was a college senior working in a barbershop part-time to help pay for school. Since then he was always looked out and took the time to answer my career questions.
The urban journalism world isn’t the same and it’s sad that there aren’t enough people to fill the shoes of folks like Datwon and carry the torch longer.
